GARY VEE POSTS 931 TIMES A DAY. AND NOW YOU THINK YOU NEED TO KEEP UP? 🤯 Gary Vaynerchuk reportedly just told a room full of real estate agents at eXpcon that his team publishes 931 pieces of content. EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. He reportedly shared that he's leveraging AI to accomplish this, with a media operation carrying a staggering $6.4 MILLION in payroll. And here's the interesting part. Gary is STILL creating content himself. He's still the face of the brand. He's still telling the stories, building relationships, and showing up personally. So, I have a question. WHY WOULD GARY VEE TELL A ROOM FULL OF REAL ESTATE AGENTS THIS? Think about who Gary is. He's an entrepreneur, an investor, a content creator, and the owner of VaynerMedia, a marketing and advertising agency. His business benefits when companies believe they need sophisticated marketing operations, enormous amounts of content, and specialized teams to compete for attention. I'm not suggesting that Gary doesn't believe what he's teaching. He's built an extraordinary business around understanding attention, and there's a lot entrepreneurs can learn from him. But I do think we should question the underlying message. When did marketing become a competition to see who can produce the most content for someone else's platform? Let's talk about the other billionaire in this equation. Mark Zuckerberg. Meta generated approximately $668 MILLION PER DAY in revenue during Q2 2026. That's company revenue, not Zuckerberg's personal income. But it illustrates the enormous business being built around the attention that people and companies generate on Meta's platforms. And how does that business keep growing? ✔ People create content. ✔ Businesses hire marketers. ✔ Agencies produce campaigns. ✔ Creators publish videos. ✔ Communities generate conversations. ✔ And advertisers pay to get their messages in front of those audiences. You pay to create the content. Meta owns the platform. And sometimes, you pay AGAIN to reach the people who already follow you. Now imagine spending $6.4 million on a media team producing 931 posts a day. That's an impressive content operation. But here's what I want business owners, especially real estate agents, to consider. WHAT IF YOU DIDN'T NEED TO PLAY THAT GAME? What if the answer wasn't posting more? What if the answer was owning more? Think about your business for a moment. You have customers. You have relationships. You have partners, vendors, industry experts, and people throughout your community doing interesting things every day. For real estate agents, that might be the neighborhood bakery, the local architect, the restaurant owner, the interior designer, the mortgage broker, or the small business owner who just opened their doors. Every one of them has a story. Every one of them has a network. And every one of those networks represents people you may not have reached before. WHAT IF YOUR MARKETING WAS ABOUT THEM INSTEAD OF YOU? Instead of producing another video telling people why they should hire you, imagine becoming the Editor-in-Chief of your own community magazine. You feature the bakery owner. They proudly share their article with their customers, friends, family, and social networks. Those people discover your publication. They read the bakery owner's story. Then they discover another local business, another entrepreneur, another community member. And perhaps one of those readers becomes your next featured business. Another story. Another network. Another opportunity for discovery. That's not just content creation. That's community-powered distribution. And here's the difference. The stories live on YOUR media platform. The publication belongs to YOUR business. The relationships you're developing are connected to an asset YOU control. Social media becomes a way to introduce people to that asset, rather than the only place your marketing exists. That's why I founded AmpLever.com We license user-generated content digital magazines to businesses, associations, event organizers, influencers, thought leaders, and communities. Our model is designed to take less than 20 minutes a day to operate because you aren't responsible for personally creating every story. Your community creates the stories. Your publication gives them a home. Their networks help distribute them. And unlike a social post that quickly disappears down someone's feed, those published stories can continue being discovered, searched, shared, and referenced long after publication. I'm not saying stop using Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, or YouTube. Quite the opposite. Use them! They're incredible distribution channels. BUT STOP CONFUSING DISTRIBUTION WITH OWNERSHIP. Gary has built a tremendous business by understanding the power of attention. Mark Zuckerberg has built an enormous business by owning platforms where that attention accumulates. So why are we still telling small business owners that their path to success is simply creating MORE content for those platforms? Why aren't we teaching them how to own the media? Why aren't we helping them turn their existing customers into contributors? Why aren't we giving their communities a reason to participate in their marketing? And why aren't we helping them build something that continues creating value after they stop posting? HEY, GARY VEE! I've followed your thinking around building brands, creating value, and developing direct relationships with audiences for years. So here's my challenge. Instead of leaving entrepreneurs believing they need to compete with a $6.4 million media operation producing 931 posts a day, let's remind them of something much more powerful. OWN YOUR AUDIENCE. BUILD YOUR NETWORK. BECOME THE MEDIA. Because the goal shouldn't be to create 931 posts a day. The goal should be to build something valuable enough that 931 people WANT to share it. That's customer-centric marketing. That's owned media.
