AmpLever Launches Creator Hauz Magazine to Chronicle the Creator Economy’s Evolution From Influence to Enterprise

Led by Editor-in-Chief Lauren Murphy, Creator Hauz will explore how influencers are becoming production studios, media companies, entrepreneurs and brands—and how the businesses surrounding them are evolving alongside them.

---

AUGUST 18, 2026AmpLever.com today announced the launch of Creator Hauz Magazine, a new digital publication dedicated to documenting what may be one of the most consequential shifts happening across media, marketing and the creator economy:

Creators aren’t simply becoming media companies. Many already are.

The influencer industry was initially built around a relatively simple exchange: creators accumulated audiences, brands paid for access to those audiences, and social platforms provided the infrastructure connecting the two.

That model is rapidly becoming something much bigger.

Creators are launching products and companies. They are building production studios, developing intellectual property, producing long-form programming, hiring teams, licensing brands, creating communities and expanding across multiple forms of media.

At the same time, the ecosystem surrounding them is changing. Brands are rethinking creators as long-term business partners rather than campaign inventory. Agencies are evolving. Production companies are emerging around creator-led entertainment. New technology, financial infrastructure, commerce platforms and professional services are being built specifically for creator businesses.

Creator Hauz was created to tell the story of that evolution.

From the creator economy to the new media economy

AmpLever's thesis behind Creator Hauz is that the next chapter of the creator economy won't be defined simply by who has the most followers.

It will increasingly be defined by what people build with the influence they've earned.

The creator who once needed a production company can become one.

The influencer who once promoted someone else's product can launch their own.

The personality who once relied entirely on social platforms can develop intellectual property, distribution, commerce and media assets extending far beyond the feed.

And the brands working with these creators are increasingly entering relationships that look less like traditional influencer campaigns and more like collaborations between media companies.

Creator Hauz will examine that transformation through the people actually building it.

Its editorial coverage will explore creator-led production studios, entrepreneurship, brand building, content strategy, emerging business models, technology, partnerships, monetization, media, entertainment and the increasingly sophisticated infrastructure powering modern influence.

The publication's premise is simple:

Influence was the beginning. Enterprise is what comes next.

Lauren Murphy named Editor-in-Chief

Leading Creator Hauz is Lauren Murphy, who will serve as the magazine's Editor-in-Chief and help develop its editorial voice, relationships and coverage.

Rather than reporting on the creator economy solely through statistics, trends and platform announcements, Murphy plans to put the people navigating the transformation at the center of the publication.

Creator Hauz will interview influencers building businesses beyond their social profiles; creators developing studios and original productions; content strategists helping turn audiences into durable brands; executives building the infrastructure behind the industry; and brands experimenting with entirely new relationships between creators, content and commerce.

The objective isn't merely to report that the creator economy is changing.

It's to document how it is changing, through the people changing it.

Creator Hauz will ask creators where their businesses go after influence. It will ask brands how their creator strategies are evolving beyond sponsored posts. And it will examine the strategists, operators, producers, agencies, platforms and entrepreneurs building the connective tissue between the two.

In doing so, the publication intends to create an ongoing record of an industry moving from creator → influencer → entrepreneur → studio → media company.

A new kind of industry publication

Creator Hauz is published within the AmpLever.com media ecosystem and reflects a broader AmpLever belief: businesses and industries shouldn't have to depend entirely upon traditional media gatekeepers to determine which stories deserve visibility.

AmpLever builds owned-media and participation-media infrastructure designed to give businesses, organizations and communities the ability to become publishers themselves—and to make the people within their ecosystems part of the media.

Creator Hauz puts that philosophy into practice for the creator economy.

Instead of covering the industry only from the outside, the publication is designed to invite the people building it to participate in telling its story.

Brands and creators are invited to get featured — complimentary

To celebrate the launch, Creator Hauz is opening its editorial doors to creators, influencers, brands, agencies, production companies, technology companies, strategists, founders and other businesses helping shape the next generation of the creator economy.

Selected participants will have the opportunity to be interviewed and featured in Creator Hauz complimentary.

There is no requirement to be a celebrity creator or global brand.

Creator Hauz is particularly interested in stories that reveal where the industry is going next: a creator turning influence into a company, a brand experimenting with a different creator model, a production team developing creator-led programming, a strategist rethinking content, or a business building infrastructure the creator economy will need as it matures.
